Keep everyone entertained this Easter
While life isn’t back to the normal we used to know; we’re making slow steps in the right direction. Everyone’s moods will start to lift as spring hits us, lockdown restrictions ease, and Easter comes around this time. Kids get a lot of time off at Easter, and although we all love our children, it might be stressful to think they’re coming back home just as they’ve all gone back to school! That’s why we’ve prepared this activity page, so you can keep everyone entertained over Easter.
Here are some of our favourite ideas to get you started:
Easter egg hunt in the garden
If you’re still unsure about travelling anywhere, you could stage an Easter egg hunt in your garden; kids love finding the chocolate and surprises almost as much as eating them.
‘Egg and Spoon’ race
Bring back the Sports Day classic this Easter and get the Creme eggs out. Or, if you don’t mind a bit of a mess, you can use real eggs.
Decorate an Easter egg
Get the arts and crafts out and treat your little ones to a little Easter egg decorating; the winner gets a prize!
Read easter and spring children’s books
After all the school your kids have missed, getting their heads in a book will help them keep their literacy skills up to scratch.
Go for a nice long spring walk
Being in the house for the majority of the winter has also kept little legs from exercising, so a nice long walk will be good for them (it might tire them out as well!).
