You can now donate to Bury Hospice when you sell to webuybooks!

Here at webuybooks, we have a feature on our website and app, that allows you to donate money to a charity of your choice without spending a penny! All you have to do is sell your unwanted books, CDs, DVDs and games to us.

At a time when almost everyone is busy coping with the economic consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, it's safe to say that purse strings are tight. Not many people have spare cash at the end of the month, which unfortunately means that charities are suffering.

Acknowledging this, we’ve partnered with a few worthy charities to help you fund their cause, without feeling out of pocket. When you sell your books, CDs, DVDs or games to webuybooks, we’ll give you the option to donate their value to charity at checkout. Then, the charity you choose will receive a monetary donation in exchange for your clutter!

One of our partnerships is with Bury Hospice, a charity that provides invaluable end-of-life care and support to patients and their families in the Bury area.

Who Are Bury Hospice?

Bury Hospice opened its doors in 1991. Since then they’ve continued to provide invaluable palliative and end-of-life care to thousands of local residents and their families across Bury and the wider area.

Their services include a specialist 24-hour inpatient unit, medical and respite facilities, complementary therapy, family bereavement support, a weekly Christie blood and SACT clinic as well as a dedicated community outreach team who serves the needs of patients and their families in their own homes.

As a charity, their services are free of charge, but running the Hospice will cost them £3.5m this year! While they receive a good chunk of this from grants, trusts and fundraising events, they rely massively on donations.
