This 2018 film is an adaptation of the novel ‘The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society’ written by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows and published in 2008. It follows the journey of young a woman and her correspondents with The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society.

She sets out to write a book comprised of Guernsey Island people’s letters, who share their experience during the Nazi occupation in the Second World War. You follow Juliet Ashton on her story of love, loss, and friendship.
