We are proud to announce that you can now donate directly to Cotton Shed Theatre Company when you sell your old books, CDs and DVDs with WeBuyBooks.

Cotton Shed: Inclusive Theatre

Cotton Shed is an inclusive theatre company based in Rossendale, Lancashire and has been delivering workshops and productions since 2007. Their vision is to create inspirational, imaginative, and inclusive theatre in East Lancashire. Initially partnering with local primary and high schools, Cotton Shed was shaped with a shared vision of creating a safe space that celebrates everyone’s unique talents and realises everyone’s aspirations. Alongside their theatre workshops, which are open to everyone, Cotton Shed also hosts weekly interactive ‘Sign and Rhyme’ puppet shows for children in the Rossendale area where families and young people get to join in singing, dancing, and, storytelling all whilst encouraging communication and developing a love for the theatre. As well as looking after the little ones, Cotton Shed also runs the ‘Silver Shed’ sessions for people living with dementia, the elderly and their families and carers. These sessions are designed to encourage participants through music, performance, film, and movement while offering a friendly sociable environment.

How to Support Cotton Shed Theatre Company

Like most charities, Cotton Shed relies on donations and fundraising efforts to keep the workshops and community thriving. As an alternative to giving money directly, you now have the option to sell your old books, CDs, and DVDs to support the amazing work the volunteers at Cotton Shed achieve. You get to declutter your house whilst supporting a local charity close to your heart, it’s a win-win! If you’re local to Rossendale and would like to support Cotton Shed with your time, you can also become a volunteer.

How Does the WeBuyBooks Charity Partnership Work?

The process to sell your items will stay the same, except, when it comes to entering your payment details at the checkout, you can choose a charity instead. When you select this option, you will be able to select one of our partner charities, including Cotton Shed. In the last year, our customers have made an average of £25, plus when you sell over £25 worth of items, we automatically add an extra 5% to your offer. So, have a good clear-out and see what items you can find around your house to support this incredible charity.
