2014 was a fantastic year for all literature enthusiasts following the release of numerous major literature titles that left us gripped for days, weeks and at times months on end!

Translated into 46 languages and selling more than 19 million copies worldwide “The Secret” is a self-help book written by the fantastic Rhonda Byrne. Focusing heavily on positive thinking and the superstitious law of attraction the book discusses how people can see increased results relating to health, wealth and happiness.
As we all know textbooks aren’t cheap, and when you only need them for a limited period of time spending a large sum of money seems somewhat pointless. This is getting a little boring now isn’t it? Another AS and A level Core Mathematics textbook in our top ten! Whether people have completed their A Levels or have given up completely, last year we saw a huge increase in people cashing in on their old, unwanted textbooks.
Ooh we’re half way through and the fifth most traded in book of 2014 is John Green’s 2012 publication “The Fault In Our Stars”. The story focuses on a young cancer patient who falls in love with a former basketball player and amputee after being forced to attend a support group by her parents.
It seems every man and his dog has read this literary classic and it’s no surprise to see it in our top ten most traded in books of 2014. John Steinbeck’s 1937 masterpiece is regularly studied at school and college and, if you don’t already know, it tells the story of two migrant ranch workers who move from town to town in search of new job opportunities during the Great Depression in California.
Jonas Jonasson’s 2009 debut novel “The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared” is third in most traded in books of 2014 with over 75 people feeling the need to swap the book for some much needed cash. The story focuses on a man who is about to celebrate his hundredth birthday. With a party planned Allan Karlsson has no intentions of attending the party and instead climbs out the window and disappears, a story filled with adventure ensues!
Having received over 80 copies of “The Husband’s Secret” Liane Moriarty’s literary classic is second in our most traded in books of 2014! When a wife discovers a letter from her husband titled “For my wife, Cecilia Fitzpatrick to be opened only in the event of my death” she suspects her husband, who isn’t dead, to be hiding something serious. Cecilia’s life is changed forever!
Almost 100 of you traded in this AS and A Level Core Mathematics textbook making it the most traded in book to We Buy Books of 2014. If you’re surprised then don’t worry we can’t quite believe it either!
