Learn to Be Eco-Friendly by Using These 5 Suggested Apps

Top 5 Apps for the Eco-Friendly

Recycling and reusing is a great way to use resources that may otherwise be thrown into a landfill and never seen again. Fortunately, plenty of companies are bringing recycling to smartphones in the form of an app.

Recycling and reusing right at your fingertips! All you have to do is visit your app store, download and start using it.

Here are our five favourite apps for recycling and reusing resources:

1. Too Good To Go

1. Too Good To Go

Too Good To Go has lofty ambitions, a planet without food waste! While that may be hard to imagine, this app is a great place to start. The app allows you to browse your favourite restaurants, cafes and stores, which sell the food as magic bags rather than throwing it away. All you have to do is reserve it, collect it and enjoy it!

2. Vinted

2. Vinted

Vinted is a second-hand clothing app where users can sell their unwanted garments, and you can get them at a reduced price (although you do have to pay postage). It’s a great way to avoid buying new clothes all the time, and they have options for kids, men and women. The app has a 4.5-star rating on the Android App Store, so you know you’re getting an app that functions well.

3. Schpock

3. Schpock

Schpock has been around for a while now, and you can sell or buy basically anything on their website. It’s a little like eBay, except it has more of a local feel to it (like Facebook Marketplace). If you’ve got lots of stuff to clear out, you could cash in by using Schpock. They offer a delivery option now, so you don’t always have to pick up the items yourself.

4. Fat Llama

4. Fat Llama

Most apps focus on selling things, whereas Fat Llama focuses on borrowing. The owner lists a price, let’s say, for a bike, and the renter pays them a fee for every day they use it. If you need the bike Monday to Friday for work, for example, or you need some video equipment for the weekend. They also offer insurance coverage from Allianz should anything go wrong.
